The FIA is the UK’s largest fire safety trade association, representing over 1,200 member companies and the industry. We deliver industry-leading training, technical expertise, and standards guidance that shape the fire sector. Joining us means playing a key role in improving professional standards and competence across the industry.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive culture that reflects the diverse community we serve.
The role is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, delivering a mix of online and in-person courses across the UK (typically around 120 delivery days per year).
We’re seeking professionals with a Fire Detection & Alarm (FD&A) background – but this doesn’t exclude those with strong experience in fire risk assessment, fire safety management, or other fire-related training. If you can teach, communicate clearly, and want to help raise industry competence, we want to hear from you.
Base is flexible – Hampton HQ, Northwich, or home-based – with national travel required.
Depending on experience.
Send your CV and a brief cover note highlighting your relevant experience to Michael Gregg, Head of Training
