Well, my number one interest is Fulham Football Club. Having supported them since I was 11 way back in the last years of the bleak 1970’s I have been fortunate (or maybe not) to have been involved at Fulham in a number of ways.

Firstly as a fan, then as a steward and onto being a member of the supporters club committee. One position I held was as the fans representative that met the board (which included at the time Jimmy Hill) on a monthly basis to discuss club issues. That was during a period when the club almost ceased to exist.

The lowest point the club ever fell to was 91st place in the 4 leagues back in 1996. From that point forward we have never looked back and we now find ourselves in the premier league for a 13 consecutive season. Although anyone who looks at a league table will realise that may well be coming to an end in the next couple of weeks.

While I’m no longer involved at the club as I was in the 1990’s, I still have a season ticket and it’s the pull of Craven Cottage and that family club feel down by the river Thames that still drags me there even in seasons like the one this year.

Last month along with a few other fans we were invited to attend a training session and also have lunch with the players and manager Felix Magath (Our 3rd manager of the season). It was a great day and to read how the day went please read my article.
