In July 1932, we answered our first customer query requiring a technical reply.

This is significant because for the first time, fire protection users are contacting the Association as a knowledgeable body, rather than writing to the individual member company, so they can expect genuinely unbiased advice based on current technical knowledge and experience.

Today we have three Technical Managers providing this service and a large library of documents and publications relevant to both the trade and those responsible for fire protection in commercial premises
